Hallowe’en
Posted on 10.31.06 by Andrew @ 3:34 pm

so i wasn’t going to post today. but then i thought:
“what the heck is a blog without a dedicated Halloween post”?
and the answer to that my friends? well, it ain’t much.

so at the risk of alienating our long-time viewers with a re-post, here (once again) is a song & video that epitomizes not only the joy of Hallowe’en, but also the hipness of indie-rock in a way that only Unicef could.

Do They Know It’s Hallowe’en?

BOO!

just THAI & stop me!
Posted on 10.29.06 by Andrew @ 11:29 pm

finally. nearly 47 days after our return, the Thailand slideshow is up. now you never have to ask any of us* about Asia again. be warned tho… it is a mighty 13mb file. so use that right clicker. and “save as”. enjoy

*you can still ask Wren about Asia. he is still living the dream and loves to chat.

thanks again to the boys for all the pics.

**EDIT** For those of you who may not be daily readers, don’t forget the Taiwan slideshow that was posted last week. make some popcorn, grab a loved one, and make an evening of it!

I can think of many things I would rather do.

crap is crappy

You know what sucks? Packing up your house to move.

You know what sucks even more? Doing the same with a dog who has death gas coming out of his ass.

Curse Griffen’s apple addiction.

Posted on 10.26.06 by Andrew @ 9:05 am

it had been nearly 4 months since I had visited my old home of Burlington, VT. and really, what better excuse than the reunification of the Bowlies? …i gotta say, i kept it real with 4 strikes in the first four frames. but then Josh’s pressure (not BR Josh. another one) got the better of me.
next time 200 is mine.

thanks to Katrina, Ben, Gary, Josh, Michelle, & Neil for a hootenanny of a weekend.

(ps. this new Firefox 2.0 in-browser spell check thing is alllllright)

Stacey Root has a posse.

cats, cats, cats

The cats were pretty pissed off at us when we came back from our trip. But Stacey used her powers to lull them into a state of sleepiness, and they forgot all about their anger. Unfortunately, she also lulled herself to sleep. Sometimes you gotta take a nap for the team.

Is this what it has come to?
Remember kids, if it isn't safe it isn't fun.

Real nice state you live in there Andrew, filled with effing idiots. I really feel for those parents though, it must be hard to climb into your big SUV when you have no spine.

Treats are yummy.

An apricot shaped turd?

I’m probably one of two people who remembers how much I loved these apricot “logs” when I was a kid. My mom is the other person, since she had to buy them for me every time we went to the little “health food” store here in anacortes. Back in those days, there wasn’t any sodium information on foods. So my candy choices were limited to only things that didn’t specifically say “salt” in the ingredients. And that was a small selection.

So these apricot treats became my favorite “candy”. I was really happy to have found them again in a fancy Napa Valley grocery store.
