So Griffen and Oboe have been pointing out that if I would stretch more often when I slept, I wouldn’t have such a sore back. So I took their advice and tried some of their sleeping positions last night. However, after getting kicked in the ear one too many times, Stacey said if I was going to sleep like the animals I could go join them on the couch. My back wants me to get one of these reclining workstations. However, given that the prices start at $1500, and that does not include the Zero-Gravity recliner ($1000 or so itself), my wallet strongly disagrees. The problem is now that I am doing so much more “sit in front of the computer for many hours” work, my back is really starting to get sore. The ergonomics of my workspace are horrible. I’ve been stuck “back in the day” with my music recently. Metallica (before they sucked), Motorhead, the Runaways, the Plasmatics, and Run DMC to name a few (indicating that “the day” must equal 1982 or so). I came across this tribute to Jam Master Jay from the 2003 BET awards. DJ Premier, Grandmaster Flash, Kid Capri and DJ Jazzy Jeff were on the wheels of steel. Grandmaster Flash and Premier were both pretty good. Kid Capri is talented, but I’m not real into his style. But Jazzy Jeff’s two performances were particularly cool, especially the first one. Watching the way his hands move to mix something new out of “My Adidas” is truly amazing. Anyone who says that DJ’ing isn’t playing an instrument is full of it.
