How many fun ways could you think of for me to spend $850?

1. A trip to Vegas with some money to burn?
2. Airfare for two to London?
3. Five bottles of VERY good (or a case of pretty good) scotch ?
4. A new laptop for Stacey?
5. A nice bandsaw?
6. A new ukulele?
7. Both 5 and 6?
8. Greens fees & rangeballs for a year?
9. A convection oven & a pile of new cookware for Stacey?
10. Chickens, chickencoop, and some new toys for Josh to help him forget he now has chickens.

…and so on.

But no, we spent it on a new water heater because our old one started doing an “Old Faithful” impersonation Wednesday morning. Sadly, tankless was out of the question due to cost and the coldness of our water (requiring a bigger/more complex unit than our house size would have normally needed). So we ended up with just a new version of what we already had. Which means that we’re back to where we were 48 hours ago, just with a bank account that is $850 lighter.

Ah the joys of being a homeowner.
